FAITH COVID-19 RESPONSE UPDATE
Return to Physical Gathering Plan
The mission of Faith Church is to see this community, and those around us, transformed by the power of the Gospel. Central to this vision is a deep love for our physical gatherings that prioritizes gospel centered preaching/teaching and service to others on Sunday morning. Our ability to meet again will be determined, in part, by our governing authorities. When we are able to gather again, we anticipate that the following guidelines will guide our experience.
*Please note that these plans are subject to further development, and additional guidelines provided by our governing authorities.
Phase 1 Plans
Members who are vulnerable are safer at home. We will continue to provide our online service platforms for those who may not be able to attend in person, or who are uncomfortable attending in person. No one should feel obligated to return to in-person worship before they are ready to do so.
We are doing are best to follow recommended guidelines as issued by the state of Vermont and will adjust as new recommendations are provided. We will enter Phase 1 June 14th, 2020.
Service Time and Location: Sunday 10am. The experience will be upstairs in the auditorium and Junction Café areas only.
Participation Limits: Each experience will be limited to approximately 50 participants. This limit is to allow for physical distancing guidelines to be met, and appropriate measures accomplished as people are entering and exiting the building.
Preparations and Other Elements
Sanitizing: Before and after service we will sanitize the auditorium, bathroom and Junction Cafe. There will also be marked hand sanitization stations. During the service we will do our best to keep up with sanitization of the bathroom and Junction Cafe area.
Mask: All volunteers will be strongly encouraged to wear a mask, unless on stage. We recommend our church family to wear face coverings over their nose and mouth at all times. Please bring your own mask. If you do not have one, masks will be available on site.
Seating: All seating in the service will adhere to physical distancing guidelines. Households are encouraged to sit together and leave 6 feet of space between each household.
Offering: Online giving is strongly encouraged. There will be baskets available at the front and back of the room for physical giving as well.
Lord’s Supper: When we celebrate the Lord’s Supper we will use sanitized, pre-packaged elements.
Entrances and Exits: All attendees will enter the building through the auditorium front doors or side ramp door as needed. Participants will be encouraged to leave space between households when the experience has concluded and may exit through the front or side door. All doors will be propped open to avoid using handles and to promote air circulation.
Kids and Students: No preschool, or children programs will be available in order to honor the social distancing guidelines during worship gatherings. We will be supplying each family with a selection of child appropriate activities to promote family worship.
When to Stay at Home: If you have a fever or symptoms of Covid-19, known exposure to COVID-19 in the 14 days prior or are part of the vulnerable population (VP)*, please stay home.
Food Services: There will be no coffee or refreshments served upon return. Service will resume in the weeks following upon evaluating need and establishing procedures to minimize contact.
Facility Access: The only building access allowed will be the auditorium and Junction Cafe. No other building access is permitted to allow us to adhere to both state and federal sanitation guidelines. This includes the downstairs kitchen and children areas. We ask that families stay upstairs only to help relieve the added sanitation burden on our cleaning team.
If You Test Positive for COVID-19: If you are diagnosed with COVID-19 within 14 days after attending a weekend experience, please notify the church by phone, email, or social media.
